Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
  • 1 (8 oz) package cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 box yellow cake mix
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, melted

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Beat the softened cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  3. Spread the strawberry slices evenly in the bottom of a greased 9×13 inch baking dish.
  4. Spoon the cream cheese mixture over the strawberries, spreading it evenly.
  5. Sprinkle the dry cake mix evenly over the cream cheese layer.
  6. Drizzle the melted butter over the cake mix layer, covering it as much as possible.
  7. Bake for 45-50 minutes until golden brown and bubbly. Let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

For a thicker cake, use less butter. Store leftovers covered in the refrigerator for 3-4 days. Reheat in the microwave for 30-45 seconds.
