A delightful dish that marries crispy shrimp with a rich, creamy bang bang sauce, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 cup cooked rice (white or brown)
  • 1 cup broccoli florets
  • 1/2 cup bell pepper, sliced
  • 1/4 cup green onions, chopped
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons sriracha sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional toppings: sesame seeds or crushed peanuts

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine mayo, sriracha, garlic powder, and a pinch of salt. Mix well to create the bang bang sauce.
  2. Pat the shrimp dry with paper towels and season with salt and pepper.
  3. In a skillet over medium heat, add a drizzle of oil and sauté the shrimp until they turn pink and are cooked through, about 3-4 minutes.
  4. Remove shrimp from heat and toss them with the bang bang sauce until well coated.
  5. In the same skillet, quickly sauté the broccoli and bell pepper until just tender, about 2-3 minutes.
  6. To assemble, place cooked rice in bowls, top with sautéed veggies, and then add the spicy shrimp.
  7. Garnish with chopped green onions and optional toppings before serving.

Notes

To achieve extra crunch, briefly toast the sesame seeds before sprinkling them on top.
