Golden, juicy chicken thighs coated in a sweet, buttery glaze, perfect for weeknight dinners or special occasions.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 6 bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs (about 22.5 lbs)
  • Salt and pepper
  • 2 tbsp olive oil or neutral oil
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 3 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce or 1 tsp kosher salt + splash of lemon
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 tsp smoked paprika or regular paprika
  • Optional: chopped parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Pat chicken dry and season both sides with salt, pepper, and paprika.
  2. Heat oil in an oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat. Place thighs skin-side down and sear until skin is brown and crisp, about 5–7 minutes. Flip and sear the other side for 2 minutes.
  3. Reduce heat to medium. Push thighs to the side and add butter. When butter melts, add garlic and cook 30 seconds until fragrant.
  4. Stir in honey and soy sauce (or salt + lemon). Spoon some glaze over the thighs.
  5. Transfer the skillet to the oven and bake for 15–20 minutes, until internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
  6. Remove from oven and spoon glaze over chicken. Let rest 5 minutes before serving. Garnish with parsley.

Notes

For a crispier finish, broil for 1–3 minutes at the end while watching closely. Store leftovers for up to 3–4 days in an airtight container.
