A delightful pastry combining apricot jam and honey with flaky puff pastry, perfect for breakfast, snacks, or dessert.

Ingredients

  • 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
  • 1/3 cup apricot jam
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)
  • Flaky sea salt, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Line a tray with parchment paper to prevent sticking.
  3. Spread the apricot jam evenly over the puff pastry.
  4. Drizzle honey over the jam.
  5. Fold the pastry in half lengthwise.
  6. Cut the folded pastry into long strips.
  7. Twist each strip to create a beautiful design.
  8. Braid or twist the strips together to form a loaf shape.
  9. Brush the top with egg wash to give it a golden color when baked.
  10. Bake in the oven for 20–25 minutes or until golden brown.
  11. Sprinkle with flaky sea salt and let it cool slightly before serving.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days, or freeze for up to a month. For a richer flavor, add vanilla extract to the apricot jam.
