A delightful dish that brings the vibrant flavors of the islands with garlic, butter, and succulent shrimp.

  • 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 6 cloves garlic, minced
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Lemon wedges for serving
  • Chopped parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Start by heating olive oil and 2 tablespoons of butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.
  3. Next, add the shrimp to the skillet, and season with paprika, salt, and pepper.
  4. Cook the shrimp for about 2-3 minutes on each side until they turn pink and opaque.
  5. Once the shrimp are cooked through, add the remaining butter to the skillet and stir to combine with the garlic.
  6. Allow everything to cook together for an additional minute, then remove from heat.
  7. Serve immediately with lemon wedges and a sprinkle of fresh parsley for garnish.

Notes

Do not overcrowd the pan while cooking the shrimp for even cooking. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 2 days.
