A classic creamy casserole with fresh green beans, rich sauce, and crispy toppings, perfect for holiday tables and family gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound fresh green beans (or 2 cans of green beans)
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 cup crispy fried onions
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, mix the cream of mushroom soup and milk until combined.
  3. Add the green beans and half of the crispy fried onions to the bowl. Stir until everything is coated.
  4. Pour the mixture into a baking dish.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes.
  6. Remove from the oven and top with the remaining crispy fried onions.
  7. Return to the oven and bake for another 10-15 minutes until bubbly and golden on top.

Notes

For a gluten-free version, use gluten-free fried onions and ensure the cream of mushroom soup is gluten-free. Leftovers can be stored for up to 3 days in the refrigerator.
