  • 4 chicken breasts
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Set up a breading station with three bowls: one with flour, one with beaten eggs, and one with breadcrumbs mixed with garlic powder and onion powder.
  3. Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper.
  4. Dredge each chicken breast in flour, dip in egg, and coat with breadcrumbs.
  5. Place the breaded chicken on a baking sheet and bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden and cooked through.
  6. In a skillet, melt the butter over medium heat and add the mushrooms. Cook until tender.
  7. Stir in the heavy cream and simmer for a few minutes until thickened.
  8. Serve the crispy chicken topped with the creamy mushroom sauce.

Notes

Make sure your chicken breasts are even in thickness for uniform cooking. Use panko breadcrumbs for extra crunch if desired. Let the sauce simmer properly for the best flavor.
