A quick, creamy, and flavorful Easy Shrimp Pasta recipe ready in under 30 minutes perfect for busy weeknights or a simple yet special dinner.

Ingredients

Scale

8 oz linguine or spaghetti

1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined

2 tbsp butter

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup heavy cream (or half-and-half for lighter version)

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1/4 tsp salt

1/4 tsp black pepper

1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped

Optional: pinch of red pepper flakes

Instructions

1. Cook pasta according to package directions until al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup pasta water, then drain.

2. In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.

3. Add shrimp to skillet and cook for 2–3 minutes per side until pink and opaque. Remove shrimp and set aside.

4. Lower heat slightly, then whisk in cream. Simmer for 2–3 minutes until slightly thickened.

5. Stir in Parmesan cheese, salt, and pepper until smooth.

6. Return shrimp to skillet, add pasta, and toss everything together. Add pasta water as needed for desired sauce consistency.

7. Sprinkle with parsley and serve immediately.

Notes

For a lighter version, use half-and-half instead of cream.

Frozen shrimp works well just thaw gently in cold water before cooking.

Pair with garlic bread or a fresh salad for a complete meal.
