A warm and hearty casserole made with ground beef, creamy potatoes, and melted cheese, perfect for busy families.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 6 medium potatoes, thinly sliced
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cups shredded cheese (like cheddar)
  • 2 cans cream of mushroom soup
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Brown the ground beef in a skillet over medium heat. Drain the excess fat.
  2. Layer half of the sliced potatoes in the bottom of the crockpot.
  3. Add half of the chopped onion and half of the cooked beef on top of the potatoes.
  4. Pour one can of cream of mushroom soup over the meat.
  5. Repeat the layers with the remaining ingredients.
  6. Finish with a layer of cheese on top.
  7. Cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 4 hours until the potatoes are tender.

Notes

For a lighter version, use ground turkey or chicken instead of beef. Add chopped bell peppers or spinach for extra nutrients.
