A creamy garlic chicken recipe that’s comforting, easy to make, and perfect for family dinners or special occasions. Tender chicken simmered in a rich garlic cream sauce, served hot and garnished with parsley.

Ingredients

  • 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts or thighs
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • Optional: chopped parsley, grated Parmesan

Instructions

  • Season chicken with salt and pepper on both sides.
  • Heat butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Sear chicken until golden and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
  • In the same skillet, sauté minced garlic until fragrant.
  • Pour in chicken broth, scraping up any browned bits from the pan.
  • Reduce heat and stir in heavy cream. Simmer gently until the sauce thickens slightly.
  • Return chicken to skillet, spoon sauce over, and simmer 2–3 minutes more.
  • Garnish with parsley and Parmesan if desired, then serve hot.

Notes

  • For a thicker sauce, whisk 1 teaspoon of cornstarch with 1 tablespoon of water and stir into sauce before simmering.
