A delightful dessert that combines the fluffy texture of cake with the creamy richness of cheesecake, perfect for any celebration.

  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 4 large eggs
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 16 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a large cake pan.
  2. Cream together 2 cups sugar and 1 cup softened butter until light and fluffy.
  3. Beat in 4 eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  4. In a separate bowl, combine 3 cups flour, 1/2 teaspoon baking powder, and 1/2 teaspoon salt.
  5. <li Gradually add the dry mixture to the creamed mixture alternately with 1 cup milk, starting and ending with the dry mixture.

  6. Stir in 2 teaspoons vanilla extract.
  7. In another bowl, beat together 16 oz softened cream cheese, 1 cup sugar, 2 eggs, and 1 teaspoon vanilla extract until smooth.
  8. Pour half of the cake batter into the prepared pan.
  9. Top with the cheesecake mixture, then pour the remaining cake batter over the top.
  10. Bake for 60-70 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  11. Let cool before serving.

Make sure ingredients are at room temperature for the best texture. Allow the cake to cool completely before slicing to maintain its structure.
