A warm, simple sandwich featuring melty Brie, crisp apple slices, and toasted walnuts, combining sweet, salty, and creamy flavors.

Ingredients

Scale
  • Bread (sourdough, country loaf, or your choice)
  • Brie cheese, sliced or torn into pieces
  • 1 apple, thinly sliced (Honeycrisp, Gala, or Granny Smith)
  • 1/4 cup toasted walnuts, roughly chopped
  • Butter or olive oil for the pan
  • Optional: honey or fig jam, Dijon mustard

Instructions

  1. Prepare ingredients: slice the Brie and apples thinly. Chop walnuts and toast them briefly in a dry pan if raw.
  2. Butter one side of each bread slice. Place the bread butter-side-down on a skillet over medium heat.
  3. Layer Brie on the bread, add apple slices, and sprinkle walnuts. Drizzle honey or spread mustard if desired.
  4. Top with the second slice of bread, butter-side-up. Cook 3–4 minutes per side, pressing gently, until the bread is golden and Brie melts.
  5. Let the sandwich rest for 1 minute, then slice and serve.

Notes

For a sweet twist, drizzle honey inside before closing the sandwich. Use a panini press for even heat and crisp edges.
