A fresh and wholesome take on the classic Big Mac, this salad combines lean beef, cheese, and Thousand Island dressing for a lighter yet satisfying meal.

Ingredients

  • 6 cups chopped iceberg lettuce
  • 1 pound very lean ground beef, browned and drained
  • 1 cup shredded Colby Jack cheese
  • Thousand Island dressing (to taste)

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the chopped iceberg lettuce and browned ground beef.
  2. Sprinkle the shredded Colby Jack cheese on top.
  3. Drizzle with Thousand Island dressing to taste.
  4. Toss gently to mix all ingredients together.

Notes

Use very lean beef to keep the dish light. You can add additional toppings such as pickles, tomatoes, or onions to enhance the flavor. Store any leftover salad in an airtight container in the fridge. It’s best enjoyed within 1-2 days. Freezing is not recommended for this salad.
